Bug Details

  • Symptoms
    • Regardless of the version of the process model when the process started, the choices search of “Search Select” operates according to the setting of the corresponding process data item in the latest released version.
([Debug execution] results in the same)
  • Examples of Patterns which cause the bug and Symptoms of them
    • Pattern A
      • After setting a “Select type (Search Select box)” data item in the “Version 1″, start a new process
      • Deleting the data item of “Select type (Search Select box)”, and then [Release] “Version 2″
      • Bug Symptoms
        • In (unfinished) processes newly started in the “Version 1″, Search Select will not work
    • Pattern B
      • After setting a “Select type (Search Select box)” data item in the “Version 1″, start a new process
      • Changing the definitions of choices in the data item of “Select type (Search Select box)”, and then [Release] “Version 2″
      • Bug Symptoms
        • In (unfinished) processes newly started in the “Version 1″, when you try to use Search Select, you cannot search with choices defined in “Version 1″ but can with choices defined in “Version 2″
        • In the case that you are selecting choices which had not defined in “Version 1″, the value of the corresponding select type data item becomes “Empty” when task is completed (saved)

Workaround・Recovery

  • If you already have a process model (or an unfinished process) affected by this problem, we are very sorry but there is no way to recover.
  • To avoid causing this problem newly, when editing/releasing a process model, please note the following points
    • If “unfinished process has been left” and “Settings of ‘Select type (Search Select box)’ has been changed”, do not [Release] a process model
      • Execute [Release] after all the processes has finished
    • In the case that you need [Release] in the situation in which “unfinished process has been left”, you can avoid the problem by the following way
      • Add “Select type (Search Select box)” as a new other data item without changing the setting of existing “Select type (Search Select box)”
        • The items are treated as different data items at [Process Search] etc.
  • In the following case, there is no problem with [Releasing] a process model
    • You do not use “Select type (Search Select box)” data item, or have not changed the setting of it
    • All the processes have finished (there is no uncompleted process)
  • This bug is scheduled to be corrected in the next release version
